Freud's couch, Klimt's bench, Mahler's chair -
authentic furniture in your hotel room!
Vienna, around 1900. While Europe’s future is being decided in the Hofburg, the scene is quite different less than 10 minutes away – in the Walfischgasse near the Vienna Opera House. This is where Miss Suzanne runs her fashion boutique with the newest hats from Paris. Celebrities such as Sigmund Freud, the painter Gustav Klimt, the composers Arnold Schönberg and Gustav Mahler, the author Stefan Zweig and the architect Otto Wagner enjoy the atmosphere and the comfortable furniture, while the ladies accompanying them try the latest fashion. Until the building is destroyed almost completely during World War II, Miss Suzanne also runs an inn there. The Strafinger family takes over this inn, including the period interior, after rebuilding and expanding it in 1969.
