Insider tips off the beaten path

Vienna is renowned throughout the world for its superb cuisine, and in every travel guide, you will find corresponding suggestions. We also like to eat, and we like to eat well! Please allow us to point out a few restaurants that we have frequented as locals and highly recommend:

Reinthaler

One of the few remaining original Beisl (traditional bistro) in the Old Town of Vienna. Classic Viennese cuisine for surprisingly affordable prices. We recommend that you make reservations in advance.

Gmoakeller

One of the oldest inns in Vienna. Along with classics of Viennese cuisine such as schnitzel and goulash, excellent dishes with offal such as roasted liver or brain with egg are also served.

Gasthaus Pöschl

Small but mighty you could say. The sophisticated bistro in the Old Town delights guests with classic Viennese cuisine and house specialties. Since the restaurant is quite small, you should definitely make reservations.
1010 Vienna, Weihburggasse 17

Gastwirtschaft Huth

From fried chicken to roast beef with onions and gravy - Gasthaus Huth has clearly dedicated itself to mastering typical Viennese cuisine but is also open to new influences.                                              1010 Vienna, Schellinggasse 5

Restaurant Entler

Mediterranean influences and a touch of Asian - here, classic dishes are modernly interpreted with creativity. Very good wine selection!

Vienna's Naschmarkt

In only 5 minutes from Pension Suzanne, you can reach the famous Naschmarkt, which is a must-see. Over 120 stands provide a fascinatingly diverse offer. From Viennese to Indian and from Vietnamese to Italian - the Naschmarkt has many culinary treats to offer.
